24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. heavy cream, whipped
    2 c. pitted cherries (white preferably)
    2 c. quartered marshmallows or small
    2 c. pineapple bits
    2 oranges, cut in pieces
    3 egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    dash of salt
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. pineapple juice
Preparation
    Cook egg yolks, sugar, salt, vinegar, pineapple juice and butter in double boiler until it thickens.
    Cool.
    Fold in cherries, marshmallows, pineapple and oranges, then fold in the whipped cream and chill.
