Pineapple Cheese Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 c. cheese, cut in small pieces
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. pineapple juice
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. whipped topping
Preparation
    Drain pineapple.
    If there's not enough juice, add water to make 1 cup.
    Heat juice to boiling and add sugar, salt, beaten egg and cornstarch.
    Cook until thick; add the butter.
    Let cool.
    Add nuts, cheese, pineapple and whipped topping.
