Jiffy Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cake yeast
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Add water to yeast and sugar and set aside.
    Scald milk.
    Pour over shortening and salt.
    Add egg, yeast mixture and flour.
    Beat smooth.
    Let rise until double in size.
    Roll out and let rise again.
    Bake in oven at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    These are ready for oven in about 1 hour or 1 hour and 30 minutes.
