Dutch Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick oats
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 beaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour 1 1/2 cups boiling water on oats.
    Let cool.
    Cream brown sugar, sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Add flour, soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Add oatmeal mixture.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spoon Dutch Oatmeal Frosting over cake.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
