Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, melted
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    1-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. hot water
    2 Tbsp. white vinegar
Preparation
    Mix baking soda with hot water. In large bowl combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, ginger and salt; add molasses, butter, egg, soda water and vinegar; mix until batter is smooth. Pour batter into a lightly greased 8 x 8 baking dish. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 - 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
