Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. potatoes, cubed
    1 lb. Velveeta cheese
    2 or 3 c. milk
    1 qt. half and half
    1 small onion, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil potatoes until tender; drain.
    Add milk, half and half, onion, salt and pepper. Heat through. Slowly add chunks
    of Velveeta, stirring after each addition to melt. Use low heat to avoid scorching.
