Lazy Day Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 (2 layer) pkg. white cake mix
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. cold water
2 c. thawed whipped topping

Preparation

Prepare cake mix and bake.
Let cool, then punch holes in top with handle of wooden spoon or large fork at 1/2-inch intervals. Dissolve gelatin and pour over top of cake. Let cool, then spread Cool Whip on cake.
