Foundation Sweet Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. warm water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    7 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar.
    Scald milk and remove from heat.
    Add shortening, sugar and salt.
    Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, eggs and 2 cups flour.
    Beat well.
    Add remaining flour or enough to make soft dough.
    Knead lightly and place in a greased bowl.
    Cover and set in a warm place to rise.
    Let rise to double in bulk.
    Punch down and shape into rolls.
