Ingredients

3 cups cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup butter
1 box powdered sugar
4 egg whites, beaten stiffly
1 1/4 cup milk
4 egg yolks beaten well
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup grated coconut
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients 3 times.
Cream butter and add sugar gradually.
Add beaten egg yolks.
Add flour alternatively with milk, small amounts at a time.
Add vanilla and coconut.
Fold in egg whites quickly and thoroughly.
Pour into prepared cake pan and bake at 375 degrees 20-30 minutes.
