Hamburger Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bag carrots
    8 or 10 potatoes
    3 or 4 lb. hamburger
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 large can V-8 juice
Preparation
    Peel carrots and potatoes.
    Cut potatoes in eighths.
    Cook potatoes and carrots in pot together until almost done.
    Add just enough water to cover.
    Brown hamburger in frypan.
    Put hamburger with potatoes and carrots.
    Add juice and simmer for 45 minutes.
