Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. egg whites
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Sift half of the sugar with the flour 4 times. Beat egg whites to a foam. Add cream of tartar and salt; beat until it holds up in peaks. Add remainder of sugar, a little at a time, beating it in. Add flavoring. Fold in the flour mixture slowly, using a down and up motion. Pour into an ungreased 10-inch tube pan. Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 325\u00b0.
