Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box brown sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 small can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream
    butter.\tAdd sugar and milk.
    Bring to a rolling boil and
    cook
    three minutes.
    Remove from range and allow to cool. Add vanilla and nuts.
    Spread on cooled cake.
