Strawberry Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, separated
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. fresh strawberries or frozen crushed strawberries
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients in saucepan.
    Add egg yolk and 1/4 cup milk; mix well.
    Stir in rest of milk and cook over low heat for 10 minutes or until thickened.
    Cool.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour into freezer tray.
    Freeze until almost firm.
    Turn into mixing bowl and beat until creamy.
    Add egg whites and beat until doubled in volume.
    Fold in berries.
    Refreeze.
    Makes 8 servings.
