Cream Of Mushroom Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms
    5 c. water
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    5 Tbsp. butter
    5 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    1 c. cream
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cover mushrooms with water.
    Add sliced onion and salt.
    Boil slowly for 1/2 hour.
    Melt butter in top of double boiler.
    Add remainder of mushrooms, chopped.
    Cook for 3 minutes.
    Add flour and milk to make a smooth, thick sauce.
    Add mushroom liquid and mushrooms, rubbed through a sieve.
    Just before serving, add paprika and cream.
