Clams Casino - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 little neck clams
    1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
    1 to 2 c. Parmesan or Romano cheese
    4 oz. sherry
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    4 bacon strips
    bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Steam the clams and drain.
    (Save the juice.)
    Mix cheese, pepper, garlic and sherry. Spoon over the clams.
    Add some of the reserved juice.
    Melt butter.
    Mix in bread crumbs and spoon over cheese mixture. Spoon more juice on top.
    Top each clam shell with small piece of bacon.
    Broil until bacon is done.
