Country Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

1 cut up fryer
salt
flour
Preparation

Cut up fryer; salt and let stand for a while.
When ready to cook, rinse excess salt off.
Drop in a paper bag with flour and shake well.
Have a frying pan hot with Crisco (at least 1/3 full). Drop chicken into hot grease.
Cover; turn heat down to low.
Let steam about 10 minutes.
Turn heat up; let brown before turning. Turn and let brown on other side.
Take up and place on paper towels to take up excess grease.
