Spaghetti-Southern Style - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. bacon
3 average onions, chopped
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 can tomatoes (large)
2 sweet green peppers, chopped
1 can kidney beans and liquid
1 can mushrooms
1/2 lb. spaghetti
1/2 lb. cheese
Preparation

Fry the bacon until crisp and crush. Brown the onions in bacon grease. Add the ground beef, tomatoes, crumbled bacon, green peppers, kidney beans and mushrooms. Season to taste. Simmer while spaghetti cooks (about 10 minutes). Cook the spaghetti according to directions. Grease a baking dish. Place layer of spaghetti, then layer of sauce. Slice cheese over top. Bake 2 hours in slow oven (about 250\u00b0). The spaghetti can be made 1 to 2 days earlier and kept in refrigerator until baking time. It is a complete meal with a salad, drink and dessert.
