Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, separated
    3/4 tsp. soda
    2/3 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and yolks.
    Add soda mixed with molasses.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add alternately with milk to first mixture.
    Stir in beaten egg whites.
    Stir in lightly floured raisins.
    Bake in 9 x 13-inch greased pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
