Chili Bake(Goes With Cornbread Topping.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 small green pepper, chopped
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 1/2 c. tomatoes
    1 c. cooked kidney beans
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Melt shortening in
    large
    skillet.
    Add
    onion,
    green pepper and beef; brown
    lightly.
    Drain off 1/2 cup juice from can of tomatoes.
    To
    mixture
    in skillet add tomatoes, kidney beans, salt, chili
    powder
    and
    pepper.
    Mix
    all ingredients well. Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish.
    Top with Cornbread Topping and bake.
