French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 small onions
    2 Tbsp. butter/margarine
    3 (10 1/2 oz.) cans beef consomme
    2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans water (2 cans)
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    8 slices French bread
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Separate onions into rings and cook in 2 tablespoons butter/margarine just until glossy.
    Add consomme, water, Worcestershire, salt and pepper.
    Cover tightly and cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
    Spread remaining butter on one side of each piece of French bread.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Place bread under broiler until brown.
    Put one piece of bread on each bowl of soup.
