My Favorite Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together.
    Gradually add sugar to shortening and continue beating until light and fluffy.
    Add flour mixture alternately with bananas, a small amount at a time, beating after each addition until smooth.
    Turn into well-greased bread pan, 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3-inch and bake in a moderate oven at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    Makes 1 loaf.
