Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1/3 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oats
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine shortening, brown sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until blended.
Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
Mix into creamed mixture until blended.
Stir in nuts. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown.
