Drop Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/3 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream oleo, sugar, egg and vanilla.
    Mix dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg.
    Add milk to creamed mixture.
    Then add dry ingredients.
    Stir well.
    Drop by small teaspoonfuls into hot canola oil.
    Cook until golden brown, turning frequently.
    Roll in powdered sugar or serve plain. Wonderful when hot, good when cold.
