Hardtack(Knekke Brod) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white flour
    2 c. graham flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. anise seed
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening.
    Add buttermilk. Roll out thinly.
    Cut in diamond-shaped pieces.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
