Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. red food coloring
    3 tsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix food coloring with cocoa.
    Set aside.
    Cream shortening with sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Add food coloring and cocoa mixture. Rinse cocoa bowl out with buttermilk and vinegar.
    Sift together flour, salt and soda.
    Add vanilla.
    Mix well and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
