Oatmeal Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. shredded coconut
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt and add to creamed mixture. Mix in oatmeal, nuts and coconut.
Shape in rolls and refrigerate a couple of hours.
Slice and bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes on lightly greased cookie sheets.
