Orange Jelled Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 large pkg. orange jello
    1 c. water
    1 c. ice
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    8 oz. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Empty pineapple in saucepan; add sugar and bring to a boil. Add jello; stir until dissolved. Add water and ice; stir.
    Pour into a bowl and let set in the refrigerator until beginning to thicken.
    Fold in nuts, cheese and Cool Whip.
    Keep refrigerated.
