Old Fashioned Tea Cakes(Over 100 Years Old) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. buttermilk or regular
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks, soft shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add flour and milk.
    When dough is stiff enough to roll out, fold in 2 beaten egg whites.
    Turn out on floured board.
    Roll out and cut with cookie cutter or glass.
    Bake at 375\u00b0.
    Cook until slightly brown.
