Pineapple Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. butter
    2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. crushed pineapple, drained
Preparation
    Scald milk; add sugar, flour and salt, which has been mixed together and stir until it begins to thicken.
    Beat egg yolks in cup and add 1/2 cup of hot pudding; stir well and add slowly to mixture.
    Add vanilla and butter.
    Remove from fire.
    Pour 1/2 of pie filling in baked crust; spread pineapple on, then cover with remaining filling.
    Cover with meringue.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.
