Sweet Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced bell peppers
    8 c. sliced yellow squash
    2 c. sliced onions
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. apple cider vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients and set aside for 2 hours after putting ice on top of mixture. Mix vinegar, celery seed, sugar and turmeric in large stockpot. Drain the mixture of peppers, squash, onions and salt. Add the mixture to the pot. Bring to a boil. Add to clean, dry, warm jars and seal.
