Cowboy Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow self-rising cornmeal
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. cream-style corn
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. ground beef, cooked and drained
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 or 2 jalapenos, chopped
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Mix the first 7 ingredients and set aside.
    Grease skillet and sprinkle thin layer of meat in bottom.
    Pour half of batter in skillet.
    Sprinkle meat, onion, jalapeno peppers and cheese (one at a time) over batter.
    Pour remaining batter on top.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
