Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. old fashioned oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Beat shortening and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla.
Beat well.
Add flour, soda and salt.
Mix well.
Stir in oats and nuts.
Mix well.
Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 9 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies. Bake 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet.
Remove to wire rack and let cool completely.
