Party Punch Base - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    12 inch stick cinnamon, broken
    1/2 tsp. whole cloves
    3 c. apple juice
    1 (12 oz.) can apricot nectar, chilled
    1/4 c. lemon or lime juice
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water, cinnamon and cloves.
    Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Strain and discard spices. Chill.
    Combine with apple juice, apricot nectar and lemon or lime juice.
    Makes 5 cups base.
