Cherry Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. margarine
    3 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 large bottle maraschino cherries (save juice)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Grease and flour tube pan.
    Cream sugar and margarine together.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
    Add sifted flour, soda and salt gradually with buttermilk.
    Add chopped nuts, cherries and vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool and frost with icing.
