Steak Pigs In Blankets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 slice round steak (1/8-inch thick)
    3 large onions, peeled and sliced 1/8-inch thick
    sliced bacon, cut in half
    2 carrots, peeled and cut in strings
    round toothpicks
Preparation
    Salt and pepper steak to taste.
    Slice steak in rectangular pieces 2-inches wide and as long as 1/2 slice of bacon.
    Lay bacon on steak.
    Add 1 piece of onion and 1 piece of carrot.
    Roll up and pin with toothpick.
    Panfry in 3 tablespoons butter.
    Brown on all sides and add any leftover onions and carrots.
    Cover with water and simmer covered for 1 hour until tender.
    This is great served with mashed potatoes!
