Japanese Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 c. flour
1 c. milk
4 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. each: cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon
1/2 lb. white raisins
1/4 lb. each: cherries, pineapple and citron
Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening. Add eggs, beating well.
Sift flour, baking powder and spices together.
Add to the other mixture alternately with milk.
Blend.
Add fruits and nuts which have been lightly floured.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
