Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium chopped onion
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 can chicken vegetable soup
    3 or 4 mashed potatoes
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Season beef with salt and pepper.
    Mix with onion.
    Cook in margarine or oil until meat is browned.
    Put vegetable chicken soup in baking dish.
    Spread ground beef mixture in a layer over soup.
    Put layer of mashed potatoes over meat.
    Bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Bake until cheese is melted.
