German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. boiled potatoes
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. vinegar
    1 c. water
    4 green onions
Preparation
    Cut bacon in small pieces and brown. Remove from drippings. Blend sugar, flour, salt and pepper together.
    Add to drippings. Stir to make a smooth paste. Add vinegar and water.
    Boil 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Combine sauce, sliced potatoes and onions.
    Let stand at room temperature for 3 to 4 hours.
    Sprinkle with bacon bits just before serving.
