Milky Way Cake - cooking recipe

8 (1 7/8 oz.) candy bars
1/2 c. melted butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. soda
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Combine candy bars and 1/2 cup melted butter in a saucepan; place over low heat until candy bars are melted, stirring constantly.
Cool.
