Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, divided
1 lb. orange slice candy, chopped
14 oz. box pitted dates, chopped
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Toss candy, dates, and nuts in 1/2 cup of the flour.
Sift remaining flour and soda.
Add alternately with the milk to the batter. Stir in coconut and candy mixture.
Grease a tube pan and line bottom with waxed paper.
Spread batter in pan.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean.
Remove from oven and glaze.
