Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, cut up
    1 c. diced celery
    4 eggs, boiled and sliced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas (uncooked)
    1/2 green pepper, diced
    1/2 sweet onion, diced
    8 slices bacon, fry and break up
    2 c. mayo
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    grated cheese
Preparation
    Layer first 7 ingredients in 9 x 13-inch pan in the order listed.
    Mix the mayo and sugar and spread on top.
    Top with grated cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate 8 to 10 hours.
