Fried Apple Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. cream or milk
1 qt. thick applesauce
Preparation

Stir dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening.
Add cream (or milk).
Blend well.
Turn out on floured board and knead several times.
Divide into 6 or 8 parts.
Roll each part very thin.
On one half of each piece, place thick applesauce.
Fold over and seal with fork.
Bake or fry in well-greased skillet until golden on both sides.
Sprinkle sugar on pies.
