Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. molasses
1 1/2 c. flour
2 c. graham flour
2 1/2 c. sour or buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. Crisco
1/2 c. raisins and/or 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix 1/2 cup white flour and raisins and/or nuts; set aside. Cream sugar and Crisco.
Add soda, salt and molasses until blended.
Mix in flours and milk, then flour-nut-raisins mixture; blend well.
Pour into 2 greased bread pans.
Raise 15 minutes. Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
