Low-Fat Bread Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 slices white bread
2 Tbsp. fat-free oleo
1/2 c. raisins
1/3 c. sugar
6 egg whites and tiny bit of 1 yolk
3 c. skim milk, scalded
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Toast bread that has been buttered.
Soak raisins in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
Tear bread into small pieces and place in baking dish.
Sprinkle on the raisins.
Scald milk.
Stir in the 1/3 cup sugar.
Beat eggs slightly and add to warm milk. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Pour milk mixture over bread and raisins and let stand about 10 minutes.
If toasted bread floats, push it down.
When the bread is well soaked, mix the 2 tablespoons of sugar and the cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
This may be served hot or cold.
