Hot Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raw oats
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Place oats and buttermilk in a mixing bowl; let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
    Stir in brown sugar.
    Beat eggs; add butter and stir into oat mixture.
    Sift flour with baking soda and salt; add all at once to oat mixture.
    Stir lightly with wooden spoon only until combined; do not beat.
    Spoon batter onto hot, lightly greased griddle.
    Yield: 16 (4-inch) pancakes.
