Creamy Squash Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. fresh squash, sliced
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 oz. sour cream
1 (4 oz.) jar pimento, drained
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
2 medium onions, chopped
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. herbed stuffing mix or onion-garlic croutons
Preparation

Cook squash until tender; drain well.
Add chicken soup, sour cream, pimento, water chestnuts and onions.
Melt 3/4 stick of butter in a large skillet.
Add stuffing.
Mix well.
Pack stuffing into bottom of a 3-quart baking dish, reserving some to top casserole.
Pour squash mix over stuffing and sprinkle remaining stuffing over top.
Dot the rest of the butter on top of casserole and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
