Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. hot water
3 c. cut beets (already cooked)
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Stir into brown vinegar. Blend.
Add 1/3 cup hot water.
Cook on medium heat and stir constantly, approximately 3 minutes or until thick.
Pour over diced or cut beets and butter.
Let stand in syrup 30 minutes. Serve hot.
