Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. milk
5 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Sift the dry ingredients together.
Beat egg yolks until thick.
Combine beaten egg yolks with milk and melted butter. Stir into dry ingredients.
Add chopped pecans, mixing only until blended.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
Bake in hot waffle iron.
Serve with favorite syrup or topping.
