Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl; mix well. Form into 1-inch balls.
Roll in granulated or powdered sugar and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
