Frosted Fudge Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    4 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    Favorite Brownie Frosting
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and butter in top of a double boiler over simmering water; set aside to cool.
    Beat egg whites lightly with a wooden spoon; gradually add sugar, salt and vanilla, stirring well, and stir in cooled chocolate mixture.
    Sift flour over pecans.
    Mix well and stir into batter.
    Spread batter in a greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Frost with Favorite Brownie Frosting.
    Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares while warm.
    Yields about 3 dozen.
